Volunteer Coordinator

Tamara Silva

Tamara comes to Furnishing Dignity as the Volunteer Coordinator. She has over 7 years of experience overseeing all aspects of volunteerism; recruiting, training, and managing. Prior to her position with Furnishing Dignity, Tamara developed and managed volunteer programs with Best Friends Animal Society, The National MS Society, Habitat for Humanity, and PAWS Chicago. Tamara was born and raised in Chicago and attended the University of Iowa studying sociology. She recently returned to nonprofit work after a 3 year hiatus to start a family and care for her 2-1/2 year old son and 15 month old daughter. Tamara is thrilled and honored to restart her nonprofit passion with Furnishing Dignity to build the volunteer program and move Furnishing Dignity’s mission forward.
